I saw Barack Obama

by admin on March 19, 2009

This isn’t likely to be the best political reporting you’ve ever seen.  But I spent the morning today waiting out on Holt Avenue in Pomona to catch a glimpse of President Obama as his motorcade passed after leaving the Electric Vehicle Testing Center.  I was surrounded by screaming, waving people, and caught up in the moment.  I humbly present to you my YouTube clip.

During happier times, before the Special Olympics remark.

Haha. Yeah. I used to be pretty strongly in favor of political correctness. But give me a break. Accidental political incorrectness or indiscreetness has become an excuse to attack opponents and put on a holier than thou visage, without actually coming close to addressing something resembling an issue.

I agree. I’m glad your love of Obama has helped you to see it that way. Imagine if Bush had ridiculed the handicapped — people would have called for his head on a stick.

But if there’s one thing we know about Bush it’s that he doesn’t make fun of his own. Zing!

Now YOU’RE ridiculing the handicapped by claiming that Bush is one of them! Wapow!
