Born and raised in Southern California, Kyle Hernandez has been writing most of his life. He is currently working on a novel Needn’t Need, an anti-fairytale fairytale, and a story collection Raucous Applause. He enjoys jazz music, but prefers spelling “jazz” the ol’-timey way, J-A-S-S. He has received one postcard from McSweeney’s telling him that his writing isn’t good enough, but that he should continue submitting it anyway.
