It’s finally happened. After years of cinema fans anxiously foaming at the mouth for a collectors edition of the first film on one of the young American masters. Wes Anderson’s debut Bottle Rocket will finally be on Criterion DVD in November. The special features will include a making of documentary, commentary by Anderson and Owen Wilson (who co-authored the script), the original short film of the same name, and an essay by cinematic guru Martin Scorsese, who has listed Bottle Rocket as one of the best films of the 90′s. I won’t sleep until November when I can be the first to bring home the DVD that I have dreamed of for years. The air is just a little fresher, the girls are a little prettier.
